# Airmiles

The **Airmiles** category lets you convert **Xoxo Points** into airline frequent flyer miles. Miles are credited directly to your airline loyalty account, so you can redeem them with participating airline programs.

## Where Airmiles Is Used

Airmiles is commonly used for redeeming sales and channel incentive payouts, employee recognition and reward programs, loyalty program rewards, referral bonuses, and survey or research incentives — for users who prefer airline miles over gift cards or merchandise.

## Supported Airline Programs

Depending on your organization's reward catalog, you can redeem miles with participating airline loyalty programs, such as:

* Emirates Skywards
* Etihad Guest
* IndiGo BluChip
* SriLankan FlySmiles

Available airline partners may vary by program.

## Redeem Airmiles

  <Step title="Browse Available Airmiles">
    * Open the **Airmiles** category.
    * Browse available airline partners and mile denominations.
    * Select your preferred airline and redemption value.

  <Step title="Enter Loyalty Membership Details">
    Enter your **Airline Loyalty Membership ID** for the selected airline program during checkout. Double-check this number — miles are credited directly to this account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review and Confirm">
    Review the redemption details and confirm the order. Once placed:

    * The required Xoxo Points are deducted from your available balance.
    * The order status changes to **Pending** while the transfer is being processed.

    <Note>
      Airmile transfers are processed asynchronously and are not credited instantly. Processing typically takes 2–3 business days, depending on the airline partner.

  <Step title="Redemption Status">
    Once processing is complete:

    * **Successful transfers** are marked **Delivered**, and miles are credited to your airline loyalty account.
    * **Failed transfers** are marked **Failed**, and the redeemed Xoxo Points are automatically refunded.

    A confirmation email is sent once the redemption is complete.

## Cancellation & Refund

Refund eligibility depends on the transfer status:

* **Successful transfer** – Not refundable. Once miles are credited to your airline loyalty account, the transfer is permanent and cannot be cancelled.
* **Failed transfer** – Refunded automatically. The redeemed Xoxo Points are credited back to your balance.
* **Cancelling before processing** – Handled manually. Contact Xoxoday Plum Support to request a cancellation; self-service cancellation isn't available.

For any cancellation request, contact Xoxoday Plum Support via email, the support portal, or your organization's Slack/Teams support channel.

  Airmiles cannot be redeemed without a valid airline loyalty membership account. Verify your membership ID before confirming the redemption.
